It's not universal here. Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper, you can get those pretty much anywhere in the US. Fago? Central US at best. Neither coast. Once in a while you'll see it, but not often.
I like Polar Soda myself. They have a lot of flavors others don't. But, they're local to the city near me and only sell in this region of the country. So, if I want to keep drinking it, I've got to bring it with me places.
They also have a giant inflatable polar bear on the edge of the city to welcome people. I make sure to say hi to Orson every time we drive by...
There are local drinks here that are often nicer than the big name counterparts. My favourite is River Port Portello... did you try Portello while you were here? It's grape flavoured, apparently. It's not like grape Fanta or any other grape thing I've tried.

I also remember travelling in my youth and being at the airport with a few coins left ... and then the plane was delayed. What fun! Not!!!

One drink I do like from the US is Dr Pepper...so good. There are a couple of places here that sell it. It's expensive, but nice for a treat!
