As someone who knows someone that breeds and shows Great Danes that sounds like a Great Dane.

there are spotted great danes. i think the color is called harlequin. white with black spots. there are also gray ones with black spots called merle i ithink.

Neopolitan Mastiffs also come in Merle. It could have been one of those at @ 180 pounds.

I am glad the landlord made them get rid of it. It was a very large liability. It's a shame it was aggressive.
