Sadly I can’t really describe the bread. It was fairly dense. Sort of like a wheat or something.

What is usually done with fallen leaves in your state?

In Moscow, they are very aggressively collected and taken away, which people complain about, because it leaves the soil barren and does not allow the leaves to rot over winter and fertilize it. (But the reason cited for cleaning it away is also a valid one, that it may cause a spread of some disease.)

It is up to the individual town. Some collect them, some don’t.
The bigger cities do and haul them away somewhere.
Our town has a collection site you can bring them to and they’ll be spread in the town forest.
But, it is up to the individual person if they bring theirs. They could keep it on their own land if they want.
