This is so interesting. I really wanted to buy a used Prius to take to Israel for some of these same reasons, but we're only allowed to bring in one vehicle as diplomats, and the taxes we'd have to pay on it would be equal to the car's value. Still... if it were cheap, and since it's always hot, I wonder if it would pencil out under Israel's expensive gas prices...?
