It's interesting reading your thoughts about Melbourne. The driver's particularly. I've never thought of our drivers being particularly cautious and law-abiding. Maybe I'm just jaded and had a few too many near-misses. They're probably more behaved in the CBD because the speed limit is too low, and it's usually too jammed to move too fast.

And they will catch you with a breathalyser at any random time. Last Easter I got breathalysed on a main road, and then two days later got breathalysed on a side street near my house. They do have more of a presence around the holidays but I find it odd they had one entering the airport.

Tasmania is beautiful. I've only been once and definitely need to go back. And I've never been to Phillip Island so must check that out at some stage.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your time here. Hopefully you can come back and see some more of our beautiful state (Great Ocean Road and the Grampians are highly recommended).

Lots of folks have told us about the Ocean Road. And, we were both sad we missed it.
But, it seems like something we'd have to spend some time doing, and we packed a lot of other things into this trip...

On the driving, I think my driving in England the year before is what made this seem different. There I was constantly being passed and honked at when I was doing the speed limit. In my mind, that's what I put together with driving on the left. So, it seemed like a big change in Melbourne.

I'm totally the type of person who would say that about Bilbo's Hobbit hole, too, haha (if I were a hardcore fan, of course, and knew stuff like that XD)

That's a nice new icon, by the way! :)

There is good and bad in everything. That's the way of the world.
And, this trip was far more good.
