I have a question?

If I'm wanting to write a retelling of a historical event would that count as a retelling of a legend or myth?

After some thought, I'd say yes. Since retellings of fairytales and such like count as well, retellings of myths and legends would count as well. If you mean something more like historical fiction with an added magical element, I'd say that that would count as well.

Hi, just wondering: am I allowed to split my word count between two ideas (eg. two 5000 word pieces)?

Mmm I'm going to go with no, unless the two ideas are connected in the same story-verse. Answer might change once I consult co-mod, but she's asleep now and on the plane tomorrow morning so the answer might be a bit late coming -- so hinge on this being the answer for now.
