Is Under the Never Sky the latest in that series? I have to say it didn't sound too promising and the titles turned me off.

One o' these days you have to fulfill that goal of a cabin in the woods and books, books galore!

Zora Neale Hurston! If she still lived I'd want to hang with her and James Baldwin and know what life was like for them as Black writers and how they kept it going for as long as they did even in times of woe. If you haven't read any of their stuff, you should. And it'd fit into your Classics challenge.

Wait, what series? Under the Never Sky is the start of its own series. It may end up just like Ally Condie's "Matched" - ie terrible!--but eh, I'll give it 30 pages.

Of course I've read Hurston and Baldwin! My high school English teacher wouldn't have let us graduate without studying them.
