Writer's Block: More Island Time

I actually have to rush off in a bit, so maybe that will prevent me from thinking too much about this question.  Maybe.  Off the top of my head:

1.  The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley
2.  The Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner
3.  Emma by Jane Austen
4.  Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer--despite its tragic ending, which would bode ill for my time stranded ( Read more... )

I needed a more lighthearted, klutz-type of Austen heroine to keep things fun on the island. My favorite is Persuasion, and that story's such a downer for three quarters of the book! lol =P

I read The Blue Sword first too, and I didn't really like The Hero and The Crown as much. I dunno. Maybe I need to re read it, but I didn't find the heroine as compelling as Harry in The Blue Sword.
