Summary: Akito, during an audience with the monkey, lets her thoughts drift to her last encounter with the dog…
Nimble, agile, high strung, nervous, timid, beautiful, sweet… words that were used to describe Ritsu by his various relatives at one time or another. Akito thought they should add “moron” and “idiot” to the mix. The zodiac’s monkey, who idolized his cousin, Ayame, was oddly enough in his own way, just as boisterous as the snake which the zodiac’s god found highly annoying. But his timidness far outweighed anything else about him and yet, there he was, bravely sitting on the floor in Akito’s meeting hall, waiting for her answer.
Akito sat at the far end of the hall, patently ignoring him. She would occasionally glance over at him, giving him a blank stare, and relishing the way he squirmed. While she considered Ritsu a complete waste of space, he was good for relieving her boredom. Especially with the subtle mind games she was playing with him.
“…Shigure’s house…”
Shigure…A tiny smile twitched the corners of her mouth briefly upwards. Akito liked the dog; he was in a word… fun. He made her feel special in a way the other zodiac members did not. He was able to ease her troubled soul in a way that not even tormenting the rat or threatening the cat with early imprisonment could. Despite sleeping with her mother, something that still rankled Akito, she willingly forgave him. And not only that, the god of juniishi heartily welcomed him into her bed with open arms and open legs.
Her thoughts drifted to their last encounter and how he had made sweet delicious love to her under the family’s collective noses in her private garden. But that had been months ago, and now Shigure spent his time at his home on the outside with the rat and the cat and that stupid creature, Honda Tohru. Venting her jealous rage in a harsh glare at the monkey, Akito smiled without humor at him. She thanked her lucky stars he kept silent as she lamented the fact he gave her no opportunity to express her anger by physically assaulting him.
“What is this about Shigure?!” she demanded. Irritated by his demeanor, she groaned when he started apologizing. Enough!! Get to the point already!! she mentally screamed at him as she tuned him out, by thinking about Shigure. Looking out the opened shoji at the garden, Akito let the memories of her time spent there with the dog wash over her. Sprawled on the floor in an undignified manner, the god of the juniishi longed to press her thighs together and relieve the ache in her loins. Instead, she contented herself with tracing tiny circles in the tatami mat.
“So you wish to visit Shigure?” she said, cutting through his ramblings.
“Y-yes, Akito-sama,” he softly replied.
Pushing herself up into a seated position, Akito gave him an appraising stare. She was startled to realize that on the surface they were very much alike; two people pretending to be what they were not, he a woman, she a man. Instead of enraging her, Akito felt a brief pang of sympathy for him. Sighing softly, she imagined his face bloody and torn from scratching and slapping him, when her jealousy over letting him visit the outside world threatened to overwhelm her, Akito none-the-less acquiesced to his request. “Go…” She sighed again, feeling drained and defeated. “I said go! Leave me ALONE!!” she shouted, her voice rising to a shrill scream as he repeatedly thanked her. “SHUT UP AND GET OUT!!” Closing her eyes, Akito listened to the sound of him scrambling backwards towards the inner shoji. It was joined by loud footsteps. “Go, Hatori-san… leave me be.” Dismissing them both, Akito stood and walked towards the outside. She paused in the doorway and looked out over her garden.
Shigure… please come home, my beautiful dog…
