It was one of those days when Kame was deep in his thoughts and doesn’t really want to talk. The other guys have mastered the art of detecting these days and normally they’ll try to keep Junno as far as possible. The only person that might be able to make the guy talk will be Maru while Ueda personally believe the youngest member should be left alone whenever he had those moments. Koki on the other hand will try too hard to cheer up the guy, he might push a wrong button.

“Kame, want to try out the new Yakitori shop I mentioned last week?” Maru carefully approached the sullen looking guy. They were still at NTV dressing room, taking their own time to change as the schedules are already ended for the day.

Ueda and Koki were observing from their dressing table, while Junno was humming softly behind the changing area, totally oblivious on Maru attention.

The youngest member who was playing with his blackberry slowly lifted his head and stared at the composed looking guy who was secretly sweating from inside. Kame’s expression was blank and Maru could not read it at all. Then without replying, he looked down again, staring at his phone.

The oldest member took it as no and was about to retrieve his steps when Kame answered softly “I go and change first.” He stood up and walked over to his corner leaving Maru sighing with relief as he earned victorious smiles from Ueda and Koki. It’s really not an easy job being the oldest member in KAT-TUN.

It was a small shop but due to the well-receive food critic reports, the shop garnered lots of attention. And being located at an exclusive area, they do provide special rooms for privacy.

“So how is the food?” Maru asked cautiously, observing Kame’s reaction.

A small smiled formed on the thin lips “Delicious.”

Maru’s smiled brightly “I told you so.”

Kame simply nodded to it, leaving Maru once again with the responsibility to create conversation. He took a sip of his Ocha and inhale deeply trying to conjure up enough courage. As he put down his drink, Maru finally asked “Kame, is something wrong?”

The younger guy kept still in his position, staring at his food. Then he slowly shook his head. But a few seconds later he nodded slowly.

“You want to talk about it?” he offered tenderly.

Kame sighed contemplating whether he should open up or just let it be. It was nothing, really. But after some consideration, he finally broke the silence “He hasn’t call.”

It was such a short statement, but somehow Maru perfectly captured the emotion in it as well as the culprit they are about to discuss.

“He’s busy” Maru replied, unsure whether it was the right answer or not. The younger guy nodded to it and Maru continued “Have you contact him then?”

A visible lines of frown appeared as Kame shook his head “He’s busy. I don’t want to disturb him.”

“But don’t you think he might be thinking the same thing and wait for your call instead?” Maru asked with the softest intonation he could muster.

Kame looked up at stared at his group member with a small smile “Thanks Maru.”

At that moment, Maru knew he had done his part well.

It was almost 12 midnight when Kame finally reached his apartment. He was feeling much better after the great food and a caring company. He reminded himself to drop Maru a message later.

As he came up to the lobby, the security guard stopped him saying he got a parcel. Kame stood there patiently waiting for the guy to come back with the said package. The guard efficiently found a paper bag for the parcel. Kame thanked him before entering the elevator, heading to his floor.

Kame was very careful when he opened his door, trying not to make too much noise since it was really late. As he opened the light, he can’t help it admiring his new couch and make his way to it.

The slender guy sat on it carefully, still amused by his new addition to his apartment. He was still in deep thoughts when the paper bag caught his attention. He then carefully took it out and stared at the wrapped box, flipping it to see the identification. He was shocked when he saw the name of the sender.

Kame quickly unwrap the box, tearing the brown wrapping paper. When it’s undone, he instantly opened it up and rummage through it. His fingers touched a soft fluffy material and he carefully pulled it out.

It was a red Christmas stocking. Jin sends him a Christmas stocking. Kame put it down next to him as he rummaged the box again looking for a card. But he was dissapoited as there were not a single notes whatsoever.

Then he cautiously reached for the stocking again. But this time he noticed there was something inside of it. He reached inside of it and pulled a piece of paper out.

To his astonishment, it was not just a piece of paper with a message. It was a flight ticket to NY, dated on Christmas Eve. He broke into a huge smile.

Kame felt his heart beats faster as he reached for his phone dialing the number he remembered by heart.
