Suffer the Children (and the Geeks) 9/10

A/N: I can't believe we're in the second to last chapter! Thanks all for reading and reviewing and for just generally making me smile. Hurting the boys is more fun when you have an audience :) All notes and disclaimers in chapter one.  Oh, and the Latin was provided by sendintheclowns who found it, um, somewhere :)

Previous chapters found here.

Man! Ratchet up that tension why don't you! Sniff sniff. . . poor Sam. And Dean. And those kids. And YAY for Grace not freaking when Dean told her the truth. And double YAY to Jaclyn for sounding out the rest of the ritual and saving the day.

Can't wait to see how you end this up, what an awesome story so far!

Well climaxes should be climactic, shouldn't they? :)

OCs always make me a bit nervous so I'm glad you've enjoyed mine. They kind of grew on me while I was writing.

So when are you going to get the next chapter of yours up?

Thanks!

Dude. Lazy is not cool. Not when I want to know what's going to happen next. For real!

Okay, but new stuff? What new stuff? Are you holding out on me?

You're speaking French to me! That surely is something good :)

And bunnies are love! Even when they try to control my life.

I have so much love for his fic! You gave us seizing Sam! Squee!!! I was hoping Sam would become a victim of the jewel too and you didn't disappoint.

I just loved how the kids bonded with Sam like that. I could definitely see Sam as a teacher more than a lawyer I think. I think he would do well at a job where he could help people and make a difference in someone's life. I liked how Jaclyn saved the day and how Lara still wanted Sam to keep her safe too.

I'm so sad that this fic is almost over though. I am going to miss it :(

P.S. I love your icon :)

Well seizing!Sam is a very nice Sam so it seemed like too good of an opportunity to let slide by.

The kids bonding with Sam was HUGE here. The whole idea for Jaclyn to finish was to show just how much she trusted and liked Sam--she needed to save him because of what he'd done for them.

I'm going to miss it a bit too. I always go through a bit of separation anxiety at the end of a fic.

And YAY for my icon! I am a terrible icon-maker but I have fun :) And seriously, bunnies are dangerous. Have you ever read Watership Down?

Currently my live journal habits are fairly regular. I come home, go through my friends list and open any stories that sound interesting in a separate tab (I have Firefox) and when I get to the last entry I read, I then go back and start reading the fics I have opened. I have had up to 30 stories waiting to be read at one time. I don't start WIPs because I figure I won't worry about them until they actually get finished. You are one of the few authors I break all my rules for. I immediately open and read your new chapter, because I can't wait to find out what happens next. I start reading your work even though it is a WIP, because I know you really are that good and I know I will love the story. This particular fic is wonderful. You have a great handle on the boys' personalities and the plot is magnificent. I can't wait for the next chapter, although I will be sad, because then there will be no more to look forward to. Thank you so much for this.

Aww...thank you for breaking your habits for me! I'm flattered!

I hope the last part lives up to the expectation :)
