So I got up at 9 AM this morning so I could get to the UU church on time. (Hour to get ready, the rest of that time to get there.) Thing is, while I left the same time as last week, the 71 was a bit slow today due to rare traffic congestion, and I missed the 12. Though Google Maps and Trimet had both said to try the 20 if I missed the 12, I tried

heh, Attack of the Killer Zuchinni woudl be more believable, but isn't as catchy.

Public transit everywhere I have been has reduced schedules on weekends. Shorter hours, longer between trains & buses, and many routes they just don't run. It sucks.

Fay, trust me, they used to have stuff like "all night" buses (only a few lines, but still) and other stuff covering the current "low service" periods.

They dropped stuff because of lack of riders.

Consider, *traffic* is lighter on weekends, moreso on Sundays. So that means that even people with cars use them less (or at least in a more spread out manner) on weekends.

ps. When you were reading Barlowes, did you read the notes about what stories the aliens were from?
