Wiccan soldier stuff continued

I heard today that the whole problem with the VA refusing to put the symbol of Wicca on a Wiccan soldier's grave. Only this time, it came with a way to contact the VA about it. So I emailed a suggestion to them. The text went as follows:

He's a military man. He ought to be honored at Arlington or a similar VA cemetary. And they put symbols for really obscure religions on some of these grave markers... just not Wicca's. And I think I know why.

I like your idea, however I think if the family wants the pentagram on his memorial, they should have it. That may not be a personal symbol for him. And the "satanic" symbol is different. Also, we want acceptance for our veterans. We want understanding. Why should we substitute when no one else has to? This has been an issue before VA for several years. When the Wiccan community ever asked why 6 years have passed and still we are not approved to have our symbol on a memorial, their answer (this was on CNN)was that they wanted to fair to every religion. That would be acceptable, except that during this time, other symbols (including one for atheism)have been approved with little to no wait time. How is this fair? Ultimately this is up to the widow, but it is my opinion that we should not comprimise in any way.

Why do people even use cemeteries? I know I want my body dumped in the reservoir to poison the water supply. Of course, that's not really acceptable, so I was also thinking maybe I would dump it in a tank of piranhas at the zoo.

I want to be cremated and my ashes used as fertilizer in a garden or mixed in the fertilizer for a huge factory farm. Cannibalism by proxy!

cheaper and easier to have your family drop you off in the middle of the woods somewhere with known predators. :-P

Actually, to be completely serious now, what I really want to do when I die is have my body donated to one of those "body farms" where they study human decomposition in various circumstances. It'd be a great way to help the world... my death might be able to help someone solve a murder and catch the killer before he or she strikes again.
