The problem with getting "cute" on the questions is that you then have to *remember* how you encoded the answer. Not good.

Heck, I can't do the "mother's maiden name" ones, because I can't recall whether it has one or two Rs in it! (I actually ran into trouble with my bank on that years back. I'd put it down 20 years ago, and used a different guess than my then best guess.

What's *really* annoying is that the last time I ran into something that gave a selection of questions, a huge number just plain didn't *apply*. Questions about relatives? Other than mother & brother never knew any.

Best friend in high school? Can't remember, and so on.
