Well, now, look at that again and you'll see the problem. The “only thing you can think of” is absolutely correct: You were doing wireless from a public location, yes? You sent a signal to the repeater, which itself sent that signal to Facebook. Facebook has not got that signal from that location before. They were safeguarding you against identity theft.
My bank does the same thing; if I try to access my account from, say, the Public Library (which isn't smart, by the way), they give me the same “We don't recognize this computer - Prove that you're you” message. I have no problem with that.
