I learned something the other day that's pretty cool: you can teach infants simple sign language so they can sign for what they need rather than crying. Apparently, you can start training them right away, too

Yep! My girlfriend's mom is a special ed teacher who's certified to tech the deaf and hard of hearing, so she taught my girlfriend sign language when she was an infant. Sadly my girl has forgotten a lot of it over the years, but it's still pretty neat.
