Shifting and other things

I've always preferred to go about barefoot if I can, even playing outside barefoot whenever feasable, in my younger days. (Stopped for a long time after stepping on a nail once when we lived in the country.) You should totally read Kiln People, then, if you haven't already. Nothing graphic in it that I recall, but references to people having sex with one another both as clay golems.

As to your title, though; the soul "standing wave" stuff in Kiln People is pretty cool.

Well- I have had dreams where I'd been in what was&is indelible memory of love with women I hold not one whit less real than either of us.
