Besides which, I had to go out to the library and use their internet to chat with a Comcast employee to see if my payment had gone through, then I had to make a payment because there was no evidence of a payment, which I had suspected since the first attempt was last night via the thing that comes up saying "you need to pay X amount to turn the Net back on" and hadn't come back on by the morning. I only came back home at all so I could eat something. I checked the Internet connectivity while I was at it. :-)
This is why you go to the *office* and pay there. and ask for it to be turned back on right then. Best to pay cash in those situations to remove all possible ambiguity.
