I love 'Hooway for Wodney Wat'. Helen Lester's books are funny and nutty. Perfect for kids...and slightly older kids who shall remain nameless. *cough* ('Tacky the Penguin' is sheer WIN!)

My cousin used to pronounce my dad's name as Tiss (Cliff). But the way he said it you knew he meant my dad.

So, is Jeannie going to receive a sternly worded letter from John?

I love that book! In fact, at last years chicago con I gave it to David for Baz. He tweeting me later and said he and Baz "love that Wondey Wat book."
I had this idea for ages, but I had to wait for the right time to write it :)

I think Jeanie might get something from John :) You have to admit, while she peobably didn't mean for it to bother Rodney like that, it was kind of mean :) lol

John turned to Rodney and smiled, “pantakes it is,” he said.

And is was "psghetti" in my house for years....

I need to find this book....

I had a lisp as a child and after years of nagging and being corrected all the time I simply stopped talking.
