"Life," Apollo announces, "is Dull."

Not that there's anyone around to hear his pronouncement - that's part of the reason Life is so dreadfully Dull, after all, isn't it? Apollo curls his beautiful feet up under him on his shiny shiny shiny gold throne, and Sulks.

A hand pushes open the door and someone half enters before freezing. Only the right side of him visible, Christian stares a moment at Apollo before finding his voice (and realizing that it's not a lady) --

"I'm afraid I've gone through the wrong door," he says and nods a polite apology before starting to withdraw.

"No, wait!" Apollo half-topples off his throne, but is on his feet as quickly, graceful as a cat that's trying to pretend it has never had a moment's clumsiness. "Wait. Stop. I mean, I command you to stop!"

Rather literal-mindedly, Christian stops, now a quarter of him visible through the open crack. "I'm sorry, my mistake," he says, wondering if it was his apology that was the problem.

"Nooot a problem," Apollo answers breezily, smoothing (unnecessarily, of course) his gleaming hair. "What's your name, boy?"
