Hmm, that will definitely take some creativity. There are of course the usual wards and things, but not keeping secrets seems to be the only thing that works against curses. It's probably best to assume that word will get out and be ready to do damage control at a moment's notice.

Would there be some sort of magical spell to prevent any of its members from saying things they shouldn't?

Perhaps, but I can't imagine something like that not having unintended consequences. It might prove too restrictive of people's speech or prevent communication between members, or else be incredibly complicated.

I see...

Well then, are you aware of any magical spell that would alter someone's memories? Or to affect time itself so that any damage done can be reversed?

I would be willing to offer up my skills as both a scientist and a researcher, should either be of particular use.

Why yes, we would be quite interested in your skills. Do you have any particular areas of expertise?

I'm Solomon Goldsmith. One of the founders of the ARTEMIS Organization. And who might I be addressing?

The majority of what I spent my time on was - and still is, to an extent - focused on the workings of the human heart, and the darkness and light therein. This occasionally included research into the nature of the metaphysical heart as well as its effect on memories and vice versa.

I am Xemnas, first and leader of Organization XIII.

Perhaps we should meet then, Mr. Xemnas, so that I can go over some of the projects that my organization is working on...

I'm quite interested to hear more of your work...

[ooc: have to run out for 2 hours, but will be back. And of course, backdating is a dear friend of mine.]

Increased security would indeed help.

Perhaps also introducing measures where the authorization of two or three members is necessary to access certain parts of the research? Though of course this could potentially slow down our work.

That could be more problematic in the long run. For example, if someone were the only one not cursed, it would make it impossible for them to work until everyone regained their sanity.

True, but a day of work lost is preferable to weeks of research being compromised. Curses rarely last longer than a day. And if it was any two of a group of people who would have access, it would reduce the chances of that happening.

... that's true... so far, this is the most reasonable method suggested. I'd like to see what our other members have to say before we make our final decision, however.

As for myself, I've arranged to meet with someone outside of the organization that I believe could stop me if I presented a danger to my own work. An independent contract, you could say... someone I think who has absolutely no interest otherwise in what we do. We shall see if he will be helpful...

Have you met our two new members?

I'd be hesitant to say that they're gunning just for you.

I'm hardly so arrogant that I'd come to that conclusion, Mr. Dylandy. No, I see it as merely our captor's attempts to stop their little 'lab mice' from breaking free. Why go through all this trouble to organize something such as this to have their experiments go awry?

Hopefully, your own research will shed some light on their true intent...

I'll be looking into it. Do you have any understanding on how to communicate with the Deities? I'd rather have the information from their mouths.

Please be careful if you choose to take this approach. I'd hate to have something happen to you.

I'd recommend talking to others who have had interactions with these 'deities' first. But... I have heard that it's possible to make requests of them. Perhaps through the network?

A pleasure to meet you Dr. Brennan. I'm Solomon Goldsmith, one of the founders of the ARTEMIS Organization. Do you happen to have a resume on hand that you can fax to me? I'd like to see what your skills are in order to see if there is a position that would suit your particular talents...
