February 10th on the 210

It was Her birthday, the very first of hopefully many more to come. I felt sad that I was not there to celebrate with Her, but a mother has to help keep the lights on. So to work, I went. I chose to take solace in the fact that I would be the one to present Her very first cupcake at the big party just two days later.

Didn't MIA do a song called Airplanes too? I liked that one. Wow. Super scary drive. Yeah I'm considering a change in work option locations as well due to traffic issues. Just not worth it.

She did, it was called 'Paper Planes,' and I think it may have been her biggest hit overall.

When I turned in my notice, I didn't mention what happened on that drive home, because I was worried that my bosses would think I was a cop out. But really, it was the final straw.

It's funny, because on Google maps, you can see the skid marks from my car if you focus on that spot of freeway. I spotted it last night. I guess the camera crews came through not long after that night. I was going to try to link it, but I could not get the thing to link properly last night.

Phew! That was a close call. I don't blame you for taking a decision of switching jobs; I would have ended up doing the same. Good take on the prompt. And the pace was perfect.

Every time I visit the Los Angeles area, the traffic gets exponentially more crowded. I don't even know how that works. I've had two car accidents there, the only two accidents I've been involved with as a driver, neither one my fault, and the drivers involved were so nonchalant about it you'd think it happened daily!

I'm really impressed how even at 10pm, it still seems like rush hour on the freeways. I swear, it really is a City of Angels and they're all monitoring the traffic patterns based on everything I know.

Very glad you made it through that experience unscathed. Oh, and Still Life (Talking) is one of my favorite albums!
