Thanks for the movie reviews. There are a couple on your list that I'm planning on seeing.

My book club just read “The Lions of Fifth Avenue” and then it was interesting, on the plane the other day, I watched a movie (“The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry”) that *also* had the theft of a first edition of Poe’s “Tamerlane” as a plot point. Apparently it’s the book to steal, if you can!

The other movie I watched, on the flight our, was “A Man Called Otto”, after also reading “Uve” with my book club, and with the same reaction as you.

My book club read The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry a while ago, but I haven't seen the movie version. The book is similar to A Man Called Ove in some ways. I like that theme of an unlikeable person finding a sort of redemption through other people. Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine is another good example.

I always enjoy Anne Tyler's books even though they tend to be meandering and seemingly pointless.

I have a vivid memory of my sisters and me reading Winnie the Pooh together as youngish adults and killing ourselves laughing. (We had read the stories as children but took them seriously then.)
