For those of you who have only watched Game of Thrones and not read A Song of Ice and Fire, the Catelyn meta today does not refer to events that happen after the first book. Great metas, and yay for covering Cordy as well as Rose, looking forward to the rest!

And I appreciate the Catelyn one and the book context it provides, since as someone who has just seen the TV show I have a more limited picture of the characters and their motivations...her displacement of blame/hard feelings onto Jon rather than on Ned reminds me of countless cases in history, like say Catherine of Aragon and her daughter blaming Anne Boleyn for turning Henry against them, or Catherine's attitude towards Henry's bastard Henry Fitzroy (though at least CS had provided plenty of legitimate male heirs in her case)...Catelyn didn't even know who the other woman to focus her dislike on was!

Thing the about the books vs TV show as far as Game of Thrones goes is that the books are all told through various limited third person POVs and as such we get a lot more insight into what is going on in the characters head. You lose that with the TV show, so if you only watch the show, it's hard to get to understand the characters as well. So I'm glad I was able to provide some book context for Cat for you!
