I've been thinking about recording fairy tales (Grimm and such) and possibly putting the recordings on Youtube. For one thing, I think it would be fun to record something and for another, I'm thinking it might be an interesting thing for people learning German. I'm not sure if people would actually be interested in something like that...but maybe I ( Read more... )

I would listen to it regardless of the fact that I don't really know German. >.>

Do it! I've been thinking about recording videos with me speaking sign language lately, since people trying to learn languages need any help they can get and YT is a nice platform for that.

And reading Grimm fairytales sounds great :)

You know sign language? That's awesome! It's one of the languages I've been wanting to learn. I would watch your videos so hard!
Do you know if there are many differences between German and Austrian sign language?
Sorry for questioning you like this. I'm curious and easily exciteable :)

Now I just have to decide on which one to read (first) :D

I'm not sure! I think every sign language is a little different but the grammar should be similar. I don't speak german sign language though but american sign language. And I'm trying to learn japanese sign language but it's really hard. I should probably pick up the german one sooner or later!

Hmmmm, I'm very fond of Sleeping Beauty. Is that Grimm?

I really don't know a lot about sign lagnuages, sadly. But I think you might be right.
For some reason I feel like ASL might be the most useful sign language to learn, which doesn't actually make any sense, since I live in Austria.
Dude, Japanese sign language. Wow. I think it's all very cool.
Do you use sing language a lot or from time to time?

Hm...good question. I'm not sure right now. But I'm thinking I might start with Frau Holle. It seems appropriate right now. And with any luck it'll bring us some snow ;)
But Sleeping Beauty will be my next fairytale provided I'm not done in after the first one. :)
