[Tumnus has been doing a fair job in keeping himself from hiding in his room all the time. He met Samantha recently and bumped into Odette .. both options were better than simply hiding and avoiding everyone altogether, right

[Don't worry about perfection! Lily doesn't mind. It really isn't long before she's strolling into the Great Hall, record tucked under her arm. Ah, there's her potential new friend! Lily breaks into a jog.]
[Tumnus glances up at the sound of someone approaching and smiles as Lily makes her way over. There is a moment when she sees him that he thinks it might be the same thing all over, but she just rolls with iit and this brings him no small amount of happiness.
His smile broadens and he bobs his head once in assertion.]
Yes, my name is Tumnus; and, thank you.
[He lifts a hoof and glances briefly at it, not really finding them altogether 'cool' but pleased she likes them.]
Please, have a seat... there is plenty of room. Would you care for some tea or biscuits? I would presume so, yes?
*Sollux gives Tumnus a quick once over. The faun thing doesn't throw him, he just wants to make sure he knows what the guy looks like. More nonhumans are good, but harder to judge how much of a threat they might be.*
What is it with people here and making food for everybody?
*He mumbles and moves over to look at what Tumnas has prepared. He picks up a biscuit and looks it over.*
[Tumnus doesn't look at all bothered when Sollux looks him over, having grown rather accustomed to that particular reaction. He does the same, not having met he or any of the other trolls as of yet.
The boy is not too disimilar from some of the dark creatures of Narnia, although he seems mild mannered enough .. for now, anyway.
He doesn't quite catch his first mumble, but smiles a bit wanly when Sollux picks up a biscuit and asks about it.]
Tea time is a normal expenditure of time roundabout the early afternoon and again around dusk. Although, one might be prone to making tea whenever they are upset or otherwise bothered. It is rather relaxing to the mind and a good way to keep company, mostly. Many feel comfortable enough to sit for a span and simply talk about whatever might be on their minds.

Hearing Tumnus's voice--having been unable to find hide nor hair of him--Chloe decides it might be best to simply show up and see him for herself, rather than possibly scare the poor faun away. She heads to the Great Hall, stops for a moment to simply look at him, then walks in and hopes to not give away her presence until she's a bit closer.]
Hey. May I join you?
[She smiles, then, calmly and pleasantly. Her expression is open as her fingers brush a nearby chair.]

[Tumnus isn't sure what he'd have done if he'd been given the chance to make a choice, but as it is, he lets out a slightly startled sound as Chloe appears behind him. One might even call that sound a 'bleet'.
He spins around on his hooves, which click almost nervously on the tiling beneath him. His wide blue eyes settle on the young woman and after a moment his heart begins to beat again, profund relief weakening his knees.
She might be the faintest bit surprised when he clips right over to her and engulfs her in his arms, hugging her tightly and close to his chest.]

[His smile brightens both at seeing Tumnus's expression, and at his words.]
Okay! Great. I'll see you soon, then.
[And he clicks off the video, heading out of the barracks and over to the great hall. He slips inside, then smiles when he spots Tumnus and his set up.]

Oh! Oh, g-g-good!
[He now commences to move around the table and tweak things until they're perfect, readjusting napkins for the 5th or 6th time.]

Hey, hi! You're the guy from the record, right?
[Lily stops, stares, and smiles.]
I like your legs, they're really cool.

...Are you having a party or something?
Reply
N-no, not a party. Merely a get together for any that might wish to partake.

Heavens. I had not seen or heard from you since-
Not since you could not remember... I was uncertain you'd speak with or share my company again.
[His smile is tremulous, but it's a smile.]

I find a good cup of tea to be rather relaxing during even the most stressful of occasions. There is more than enough if you would care to stop by...?

You know, I may as well.

Ahh... I know several that would quite happily share that opinion with you, sir.
[And then a smile warms his words.]
I shall then look forward to shortly making your aquaintance.

He glances up as the young man arrives and smiles warmly, shaking his head and shifting his unruly hair.]
This is hardly that much, young Bobby. I made the biscuits and tea, but simply borrowed the supplies from the Hall itself.
The company I've been offered has been, by far, the best part of this affair.
