My main issue is that as it will be the beginning of June and the weather in the UK is so unpredictable, I will need something to cover up with in case it gets chilly ( Read more... )

I don't have any store suggestions to offer but that dress is absolutely beautiful. Good luck on your date.

That's a gorgeous dress! I'd go with a pashmina or something along those lines. I like pashminas for times with uncertain temperatures (and also places like movie theaters that sometimes use way too much AC) because they're quite warm for how light-weight they feel and big enough to wrap up in if need be.

Seconded!! My pashminas are my favourite cover ups, they're just so versatile and I feel so ladylike with them!

It is a lovely dress and I think any simple black cardigan would do. I think you could do something waist length, but even do a looser boyfriend cut with it. I think the shorter would probably fit a dinner better ( ... )

Thanks for the suggestions so far! Currently veering towards the wrap as I've never got on well with a shrug. I'm trying to steer clear of a cardigan as I wear them a lot at work. A friend has suggested a satin blazer style jacket, but think this would look a bit bulky.
