short sleeved cardigans?

Jan 08, 2013 15:03

I am after some sort of arm coverings that I can wear with my sleeveless dresses/tops.

I don't love the look of the shrugs (ie just the arms) but if you know some nice ones, please tell me! I need to increase the workability of my wardrobe.

I am in Japan, so being able to order online is ideal.

thanks!

Lucie Lu has them in several shades and up to a fairly generous 5X. I've ordered from their US store to Australia with no problems.

I bought this one in the green in a shop the other day and I notice on the website they have it in a bunch of other colours. I can't work out whether that site delivers internationally, but I think it does.

I've a couple of pairs of www.wingzfashion.com . I sneered at the idea a bit at first, I admit, but I had a black dress that I really wanted sleeves, not a shrug, for, and figured I didn't have anything to lose by trying them!

huh... would you think about posting a pic of the results? I'm intrigued!

Old Navy and Target are where I've gotten most of my simple ones, my nicer ones are from Torrid. I wear some form of removable upper attire every single day. Not even because I want to hide my arms, but because I live in New Orleans and it's just always a good idea. It's always either hot as balls outside and freezing in, or chilly/raining outside and like a raging fire in. I think it's something everyone who has lived here for any length of time does. I inwardly mock people who ask me to turn up or down the temperature at work, bring a jacket/cardigan/sweater/hoodie/coat like everybody else!

haha yeah. I have never hidden my arms, but I don't see any of the locals with their arms on display (admittedly right now it is winter... but even when it was warmer). But torrid. ok I will check their website, thanks :-)

Huh, weird. I follow some Japanese fashion blogs and I've never seen them be shy about strapless or sleeveless. Maybe it's the region.

Yeah. the majority of people I see on the streets (even in Tokyo, Kyoto - the bigger cities) are quite covered - no cleavage, upper arms. but ultra ultra short skirts. omg I can't get over how short the skirts are (particularly given how cold it is!)
