Woohoo Shopping!

I just came into a bit of money for my birthday and am looking to buy some things online. I especially would like to find stuff that would go with this blazer I just bought from Torrid. Some other things I am interested in are denim jeggings (that can be worn as pants), casual dresses that can be worn with leggings (either full or cropped), and ( Read more... )

I like Torrid's jeggings - definitely like super stretchy jeans, not like thin leggings. Would go with your blazer there.

For layering with the blazer, something simple like a plain t-shirt or tank is easy and casual. Layer a couple of tanks (maybe different colors or a solid and a print) for a little more interest. A solid color cardigan (I like the Merona ones from Target) would layer well with these pieces. Any color - black, reds, burgundy, pink, yellow, mustard, purples, teal/turquoise, greens, blue. I can see wearing it casually with a denim skirt (mini or knee length).

These are all sound ideas. I have some tanks but it's hard finding ones that truly fit without making me look too boxy. Though I suppose with a cardigan or my blazer that shouldn't be too big an issue.

With Torrid's jeggings, how true to size are they? The store here doesn't carry these for some reason and so I cannot try them on.

For tanks, I like to get close-fitting stretchy jersey types. Usually from Old Navy. They layer better for me than something like a rib-knit that may be looser or stretch out during wear.

For the jeggings, I ordered my usual size. I'd say they're pretty true. I usually have a bit of a waist gap, which is better in the jeggings than in my regular jeans but may be due to stretch helping them keep their shape better.

Glad you said that -- I just ordered one of those tanks from ON!

Okay. Actually, funny enough, I have a pair of jeggings from Torrid. I always thought they were skinny jeans rather than jeggings though because they're so loose on my legs. What I'd like to do is find a good pair of jeggings that are tight enough on my legs that I can wear them with boots without them bunching up around the top. I guess I could have the ones I own taken in some, but that can get spendy I think.
