What to wear?

OK, so I wrote out the below, then re-read it before posting and noticed that it is not really fat oriented, just me asking for fashion advice. I mean, I am fat, but this post isn't really relevant to fat issues at all, anyone could be asking it. I hope that that's OK. If not, mods just go ahead and do yo thang ( Read more... )

What sort of setting is the wedding at? That will help determine what sort of shoes are appropriate. If it's a more serious church/family environment, you'll want to go a little nicer and maybe even do peep-toe or closed toe shoes. If the wedding is more casual or even outside I think a nice pair of sandals could be appropriate. Either way, if you aren't comfortable in heels they're by no means a requirement.

Since both dresses are mostly cream colored, with no other dominant colors, I say do color in your other pieces including the shoes. Something bright, maybe a pink, blue or yellow. Forest green? Even a metallic (gold or bronze?) would look nice. Coral? Yellow? Blue? These are all from Payless, but they're just for example.

I knew I'd forget something! It's in a church, but it's a very casual church, which is why I was thinking probably more sandals than heels, but I just don't know what shape or anything, but those links have given me some great ideas-totes in love with those blue ones, omg!

both websites mention UK sizing/UK purchases, so I'm going to guess you're in the UK.
I would suggest checking out a Duo location if you're able- or if you can't, they've got an outlet section on their website.
either ballet flats (pumps/court shoes) could do well with either- I too suggest getting a color: red/coral/pink/purple.
Duo allows for a wide foot search as well. otherwise I would suggest evans, as they'll have wide shoes sort of cheap and cheerful that will get the job at hand done.

Oh I know, they are so cute, eh! Just hope they are as nice when they arrive, that's the only down side of shopping online. But I have loads of dresses from AX Paris already, so I'm pretty confident that one will be fine at least!
