I have a fashion dilemma and a general question. First: the dilemma - I love this dress, from Next (the model is straight sized, but the dress runs to a UK 26) but I'm torn between the pink and the black! On the one hand, the pink seems like it would be a great dress to have on standby for summer weddings etc, but the black is just so so so chic ( Read more... )

Cute dress (though I wouldn't get it just based on the reviews, as it is my hair generates static like nobody's business, so staticky dresses terrify me.)

I agree with the other commenter that black is easier to wear. And these days it works even at summer weddings.

I'd go for the black, too. The sequins on the pink look a little brassy or something, and I think they might make it hard to accessorize.

They're both gorgeous but I would kill for the pink one! It looks made for spinning around in circles. Then again I am about 10 years old in my head, so... :P

Black is probably easier to wear, but the pink looks more fun to me. If I had to choose just one I would probably say the pink one.

I am from Galway but now live in the USA. So I'm not much use for shipping conversations but I do return to Ireland once a year and could act as a clothing mule! I empathize. Living in Ireland I never could find any cute clothes and Australia was even worse. Worse than that, I have an entire Irish family whose first greeting to me, after not seeing me for a year or so is always "God you are so fat" and who act like being fat is the worst thing that could possibly happen to anyone, EVER! It always becomes the no 1 topic of conversation, despite the fact that I am a quite successful, busy and interesting person with many other things to talk about. Sight of discontent! Oh well, at least I am never sad to leave Ireland and come back to the States!!
