I have your exact opposite problem. Im super short, so everything looks like a trench coat on me! I would suggest finding something on ebay in a size larger than you are (extra points for finding something quality at a cheaper price) and taking it to a tailor to have it fit to you. I know that sounds like a pain in the ass, but since I started budgeting for the tailor with almost all my clothing, I find these are the peices I go to again and again and again because they fit so well. A "fix" like that for a blazer should cost you from $15-$25. I checked out reviews on google to find a tailor near me.

I was going to suggest a tailor as well. Maybe even try a thrifted men's blazer to start with? And if you have any kind of a crafty streak, you can probably do all sorts of interesting embellishments pretty easily. Check out sites like Crafster or Cutoutandkeep for ideas/tutorials on the latter.

I just bought this Michael Kors jacket and I love it: http://www.zappos.com/product/7922475/color/3

It's a bit more than the price range you asked for, but I found mine at Lord & Taylor and used a coupon - I think it worked out to less than $100 that way.

I just bought one on Black Friday at Eddie Bauer - I'm 5'10" and have pretty broad shoulders, so that's worth a try - I'm pretty happy with the fact that it fits in the shoulders but has a taper-line to the waist.

Also, check out Talbots clearance section online, but I've noticed blazers from them tend to be too big in the body (I have two that I'm either going to resell or have tailored because they're...tenty.)

Spiegel also has some cute jackets.

Second the Eddie Bauer recommendation. The cut of their clothes is usually rather generous, especially in the shoulders. And a bit longer in the arms, as well.

One of my friends has an awesome blazer that she originally bought at Goodwill and got tailored to fit her. Designer brand name, tailored fit, and definitely under $100 dollars.
