I have only ever purchased one pair of jeans from Torrid, a size 12 in Z Cav. They don't fit anymore, and I am on the hunt for a great skinny jean/jegging

I haven't tried those particular styles, but I swear by the SOW Pull on Skinny Jean. The actual definition of "jegging" seems to vary from person-to-person, but these are a lightweight, super-stretchy denim with faux closures. and I love them. They're jean-like enough to wear with anything and legging-like enough to pair with boots.
As for sizing, I'm a 14 these days and I wear a size 1. But I've been all over the spectrum with these babies-- when I was floating around a 22/24 I wore a 4, and when I was an 18 I wore a 2. I think their size chart reflects these pretty decently.
Those "Sophia" ones look cute too though, I might have to try 'em!
I'm *way* late responding to this post, but I second the SOW Pull-On Skinny Jean. I wore these all of the time last winter with boots (as well as the winter before that!), and they were fantastic.
In my experience, they're just as form-fitting as a jegging, but they're thicker--so, while they'll show your curves, they won't show the bits that you probably don't want to show, if you catch my drift. They have a functioning button, but no zipper, so they smooth out the stomach area well, too.
SOW has a pair of pull-on bootcut jeans made the same way, and I LIVED in those when I was a student (alas, I must now wear dress pants for work!). And, I know that Torrid now has extra-tall lengths for several of their jeans, but a couple of years ago, SOW jeans were the only jeans I could find that I could actually wear with heels (I'm over six feet tall, and used to be a 22/24)! The sizing for their jeans was also accurate, since I ordered online.
In conclusion, SOW has the best plus-size jeans ever, and you should buy them ASAP.
Do you have Kohl's where you are? Try the Lauren Conrad skinny jeans if you do. Can't say if they look nice at the end of the day as I opted not to buy but they seemed to be sturdy. I've been wearing Dress Barn's Wesport jeans which hold up nicely after a day (or three) wear. Not sure if they offer a true skinny jean or jegging; I bought a pair of boot cut and slim, straight leg that I like. Plus they are inexpensive. Good luck!
I have the Sophia jeans (I don't know about anyone else, but I can't stand the word "jegging"), and I find they run a bit big. I was a dead-on size 22 in the Torrid Graduate straight leg jeans, and these feel a little big. I would suggest going down a size, since they are kind of stretchy.
