bride underwear

hey everyone! i'm getting married in november and i'm flirting with the idea of wearing underwear that says "Bride" or "Mrs. ______" on the bum. Did anyone wear something similar for their wedding? If so, where did you get them? I found some cute ones on Etsy but for some reason, the woman was only selling them in Juniors sizes. Ideally, I'd love ( Read more... )

I got married in January and really wanted something like that, but couldn't find them anywhere. They do have a few cute items at Lane Bryant online right now. That being said, I wore a Spanx-like contraption under my dress that had a pee hole. I had these cute blue lace undies to wear (my something blue) but ended up going without them because once I had the dress on I realized how hard it would be to pull the Spanx down and then my undies.

thanks! yeah, i thought of blue underwear too. i may go with comfy blue for the wedding and the bride or mrs. x undies for later. hopefully i can avoid spanx. my dress fits so well it really sucks me in on it's own. i want to be as comfortable as possible!

I actually didn't care about being sucked in because my dress was ball gown style and no lumps or bumps were showing through all that crinoline. I wanted to wear something that would prevent chub but that was not plain old bike shorts. What I found were these lacy things that didn't really suck me in, but did smooth me out. And of course they had a pee hole. Ha. It was bizarre.

thanks for all the comments! i think making them myself, either with puffy paint or iron on letters is a good idea. i'm so picky about underwear i would worry a pair from lane bryant or some place like that wouldn't fit well. if i do them myself, then i can start with a pair that i really like.

I caution against iron-on letters, especially if you get stretchy underwear. I tried use iron-ons for a pair of booty shorts I made for roller derby, and they peeled off within an hour. I recommend using a stencil with some puff-paint or spray puff paint. Stencils are widely available and I think you'll be happier with the results. Plus, you can add cute little embellishments to make them your own! :)
