I just bought these super cute brown boots for my birthday present to myself. They fit around my calf perfectly and I fell in love instantly. Now I have no idea what to wear them with. So please wise fatshionistas help a sista out!
ummmm, I have similar ones from torrid in black. today I worn them with a pencil skirt & a sweater.
you can wear them with a cute sweater dress, skinny jeans, jeggings/leggings & a tunic. tighter pants/jeans will look best & tuck them in.
no black & no dark grey or navy. think rouges, mauves, winter whites, burgandies. turquoise/teal is good with brown. dark purple is good with brown but that is a little tricky.
Also: wear them with black. Seriously, they are two neutrals, it will be okay I promise.
I would look for colors in the same level of saturation, so kind of dusky dark pinks, teals with some gray in them, light eggplant, cream, etc. I would wear them with dresses that have fuller skirts that hit within 2 inches on either side of the knee, skinny jeans, or leggings and tunics. I would avoid wearing them with a skirt and top in different colors, unless you wear something up top (hat, scarf, etc) that ties the boot color in.
You can definitely wear black and brown together! It would look great with a black dress and black tights - maybe even add a brown belt or bag if you can find one in a similar shade of brown.
Wear with teal, or cranberry, or maybe an off white sweater. Lots of gold jewelry, sparkly top, or sparkly tights. And if you want more ideas, do like I do, and peruse the fatshionista flickr archives.
i have those boots! i wear them with seriously everything! i wear a lot of dresses with tights and those always look super cute. one of my favorite outfits is a green/blue striped grungy looking sweater with a moss colored skirt, brown cable knit tights and those boots... i really wish i had a picture. but really, i think those boots go with everything because of the shade of brown they are... i even mix them with black, which is usually against my rules.

But it's a sweater dress, not a cardigan. :/
Oh, and I just realized it's out of stock, so file this under useless info. :(
