I don't know about Germany, but in the States, it's absolutely possible to get custom wet and dry suits made. It's expensive, though.

I have snorkeling experience, but no diving experience. But I've known people who had custom suits made. I googled "custom wetsuit," and got a lot of hits, but they do seem to be US companies. You may have to order from another country.

Thank you, I will look into it.

I have a couple of friends in the States who said they'd be willing to help me out if possible. If it works out I might just measure myself, send the company the numbers and let them send it to one of my friends who then forwards it to me. That of course if they don't require personal fitting :)

A good company ought to be able to make one from measurements. Shop around to find one that will, would be my advice.

I'm a certified diver, I learnt about three years ago and have been to a few destinations - though not as many as I would like as I enjoy the tropical reefs and it tends to be pretty expensive ( ... )

I took a quickie diving class on a trip to Australia and had SO MUCH FUN! I had no fat-related issues, tho I did have to wear a lot of weight due to my natural buoyancy. The water was so warm that I did not need a wetsuit.

A couple years later, I looked into buying a wetsuit just to extend the swimming season here in the NE US where I live. I have not bought one yet, but I did find a website called Seadreams that offered readymade suits for US sizes up to 26. You can see their size chart here:

I'm not sure whether they ship outside the US, but I hope it helps!

I used to wear a wetsuit to surf (California, the water is cold but the waves are amazing), at your height and at a 3X and the men's XXL fit me fine. It compressed the boobs but it was comfortable. You can find those in rental places around here. I never tried for a custom suit, but I know that serious divers have them.
