Bra post #10932

I've been looking through the bra-tagged posts for the last hour and a half and couldn't find what I was looking for. I need some advice about bras. (I even found one of my old posts about bras dated almost a year ago!)

For reference, I think I wear a 46C. That's the size I'm wearing now, but the underwire is digging into my armpits. ( Read more... )

I second the recommendations for the Full Cup in old town Alexandria (note: you need an appointment to be seen; they don't have regular store hours). The Nordstroms in Potomac Mills is a Nordstrom Rack, not quite the same thing. You'll have better luck with a regular store, I think.

There's a Nordstrom's at Tysons Corner and Pentagon Row, which should be equidistant for you.

If you come up to Northern VA during the week, leave after 10am, head back before 2pm or after 7:30pm and you'll hit minimal traffic (random bizarreness notwithstanding).

Good luck!

Thanks! I'll definitely have to try the Full Cup. And you're right about the traffic. 95 gets crazy sometimes.

I go to Bra Fancy, in Matawan, NJ. It's a bit further north from where you are but it is in Monmouth County. It used to be associated with the barenecessities.com website but a couple of years ago the owners of bare necessities got rid of the retail outlets and the managers of the store re-opened their own store.

Anyway, the ladies there know what they're doing. It's seriously worth it to get a proper fitting and personally, I like the smaller store atmosphere better and they carry a lot of different brands. I'll be you don't wear anything near a 46C....

Hmm...someone else mentioned Bra Fancy. I'll definitely have to look into it. And you're probably right about me not wearing a 46C. It's basically a shot in the dark, based on what I used to wear.

I have the wrong name, sorry! It's actually called Bra Savvy. I face palmed when I saw the coupon I have lying around here. Duh. It's still pretty great, though. :)
