I have this one from last season in a XXL in turqoise. I live in San Antonio now and was living in Oklahoma and it was perfect for both places. And I'm 5'11" and it's super long! I would recommend the longer Old Navy peacoats. It's very generous sizing.

i live in austin, and i think the most important criterion for jackets is how well they keep wind out. it's not that it's very cold here - it's that it's WHOOSHY.

My trick has always been to find coats that have cuffs that are meant to be turned up and just leave them down. Then again, I live in Minnesota where leaving skin exposed can be dangerous on some of the extra cold days.

i am from the UP of michigan and we have the same problems. i have found a fall peacoat at marieces and whenever i am in a younkers or any other department store, i look there. i have just recently received a black coat that hits my knees and i have 5'11. and i have also gotten a navy pea coat from younkers. my suggestion is a department store. it is almost like finding a needle in a haystack but when you find that needle it is fabulous.
