Body image and King of the Hill

I was watching King of the Hill earlier tonight and was awestruck by a scene in which Bobby (who's supposed to be 12, I think) reassures his mother after she discovers that she was being mocked for having large feet. I love the part where they're at the store and the guy working tells them to try the other store. They get to the other store, and Bobby is all stoked to have clothes that fit him. Peggy and Hank's reactions are funny to me as well because Bobby realizes it's a "fat kid's store" and they're all "oh we still love you blah blah blah."

Haha, this is me. I always tell people that being fat has not impeded me. I have a satisfying life, good friends, and a hot girl. What else do I really need?

If you're not satisfied with your life when you're fat, you'll still be unhappy when you're thinner. I've seen it happen more than once!

My mom always called it "baby fat." I never knew what that was until I grew up and it was still there.
