Bra Blues

Jun 27, 2009 19:09

I have the hardest time finding cute bras. As a small chested lady (40-42B) who's 5'7" and generally wears an 18/20 top and bottom, it's very hard to find stuff that's "ooh" worthy (I love cool clothes of any type!).

Does anyone have any idea where I can get reasonably priced bras? I hate going to the LB and Torrid type places that charge $45 ( Read more... )

I don't like spending monies on bras either but... frugal_fatshion June 28 2009, 01:02:40 UTC
If you are frugal like me, just keep a look out for LB's buy two, get 2 bras free sales. I wait for those every year and stock up on their smooth, plunge bras. In addition to that sale, I try to be smart and plan a spree with a gift check. This past weekend, I spent $98 on a ton of bras ( and a couple of skirts). I saved well over 150 by taking advantage of their bra sale, a 15$ coupon and their usual gift check. Yes, it sucks that for most of the year their bras are ridiculously expensive. But I have yet to find a bra that compares to that ( and I wear 44 b ).

I guess the only thing to do is just keep an eye out for sales and coupons then. I do love a good sale!

Sign up for LB's email list and they'll send you sale info and coupon codes. This is the web version of their most recent email with details about the current buy 2/get 2 sale (I hope the link works):

Victoria's Secret sells 40B bras, but only online. Don't know if you like them, but they definitely carry your size.

Okay, I suck. I went to VS and it seems they only sell 40C-DD.

honestly, $45 for a bra *is* very reasonable. but like others have said, LB does do sales and that brings them down a lot.

you can also try figleaves.com, which is a pain for ordering bras, but you can return stuff that doesn't fit (i think you pay for shipping, but on bras it's not horrible and you can reuse the box it comes in). the best bras i've ever owned are ones that retail for $70-80 on figleaves but i've gotten them on sale for $20-35. i've had luck with wacoal (i think that's the spelling) and fantasie brands, but i have odd boobs and am hard to fit into bras. however, those brands have lasted me many months now.

It just figures that whenever I *need* a bra is when I have the least money for one :c)
