Look for a bra without the cups so far apart. The closer the underwires are in the middle, the better. Some of the padded ones with the majority of the padding on the side should push the girls more front and center.
i'm a 44D/DD and love the LB plunge bras. Strangely I wear a C cup in those. bt they make my girls look seriously HOT!
and for thrifting, there's some stuff in the Goodwill in the Fulton Mall in brooklyn. And I keep hearing there's gold in the Bronx, but I've yet to go there. i do most of my thrifing out of town.
Are you wearing the right size bra? I used to have no cleavage but when I wear my properly-fitted balconettes I get tasteful cleavage. It's not push-up-bra-cleavage-to-my-neck cleavage, but it does look nice in a low-cut shirt.
Yeah, I got measured the other day while looking for bras. I thought i was a 42D but was told I am a 44D/DD. I have the LB plunge bras but they are small on me, 42D and they give me pain in the front. I'm going to try getting it in a bigger size.
I am (was) a 42D and the LB plunge bra is the answer to my prayers. It hoists the girls up where they belong and separates them just enough. I take the air pillows out for work but use them when I'm going out for extra oompf. I've lost a considerable amount of weight in recent months and need to get a smaller size so it usually looks a little better than this but here's a picture:
