Fit of LB Quarter Cup Bra?

Dec 06, 2008 00:11

I got super excited and immediately purchased the LB 1/4 cup bra when I saw it because I have been lusting after one for quite some time. I don't know my exact bra size and what fits the best seems to vary from different Cacique bras as it is, usually between at 40C or a 40D. I got this one in a 40C but part of my breasts are hanging over the top ( Read more... )

I don't have that bra, but I know it would do the exact same thing on me. I think unless your breasts are really firm to start with, theyre going to droop over the edge of the cup no matter what size you get. You might do better with something that would be called a 1/2 cup bra (like a balconette style) that could support your breasts out to their tips from underneath. As for me, I do best with at least a 3/4 cup bra! Even when theyre supported from the bottom, I get toooooo much jiggle on the top unless I strap the girls down just about all the way around.

I had the same problem when I was trying them on. I couldn't find a larger cup size to try it on since I'm already a double d. I would try the larger cup size just in case. But the problem may be what was said above.

I don't have that exact bra but I do have a balconette bra from LB. I'm a 40D as well. I usually never wear that bra in public (ok I may once have out of desperation because I had nothing else clean)because I felt like my boobs were going to come flying out. Let's just say I only wear it as a "special occasion" bra for my BF. haha.

I had lost abut 30 lbs a year ago and although I never went down a bra size or anything, the bra fit me better then (I have since gained the weight back but I digress...) so maybe you could fiddle around with band sizes rather than cup?

This may sound like a dumb question, but what's the point of this 1/4 cup bra? Is there a reason you would want to wear a bra that will make your nipples stand out in almost any type of shirt? Or is this just a "bedroom" bra? I hope that's the case. Specially this time a year! :-D

Same here. All I can think about is how my nipples would be all "Helloooooooooooooo!" which I guess is ok for the bedroom? I dunno, I don't understand lingerie that isn't vintage inspired.

Also, lulz to the last sentence, misskitten.

So they have them in some of the stores? That's what's holding me back now- I really need to try them on in a few different band and cup sizes, I think. But I couldn't find it any at the LB near me in Boston.

This is most certainly *not* an everyday bra.
These kinds of bras usually have a matching panty and are for special occasions where you are not wearing clothing.
There isn't much use in trying to wear them as an everyday bra, they were not built for that at all.
