Hey there. Anyone have any experience / opinions on Air France? I am flying from Manchester UK to Columbus Ohio this summer and I have a choice between Continental and Air France. Seat Guru shows the seats are nearly an inch wider, but how fat-friendly are they? Is it worth an extra £30? Thanks!

I can't vouch for how fat-friendly Air France is, however friends of mine (one of whom is French) who have used them have had their luggage lost multiple times and have experienced incredibly rude service.

You get that with any air service.

I had a good experience when I flew Air France and found the seats quite adequate for me (I am about a size 28). They didn't lose my luggage - though I have heard 3rd hand of some people having that experience.

i have flown air france several times and have found them to be very nice- much better than continental. then again- every time i have flown continental i have had horrible things happen on the flight, so i could be incredibly biased here.(one time someone died on the flight, another someone got so ill we had to turn around, and the last we ended up being put on an air france flight, and the change was so incredible, it was amazing.)

And what constitutes being so ill that they have to turn around? Maybe they thought that person would die as well?

I've flown air france, the seats are pretty generous and the service was really good and its cool because they have those touch screen tvs and you can chose what movie/shoe/game you want
