Found this site about great fat songs randomly...  I never thought of Poison's "Unskinny Bop" as an homage to thick chicks before!

Ha, in London there's a dance night thrown by these 2 dykes that I met that is for fatties/queers/trans folk and those who love them. I'm the music idiot who never realized that their name came from a song.

I have the CD that "Unskinny Bop" is on (because one of my all-time favorite songs - "Ride the Wind" is also on there). It was popular when I was a freshman in high school or some time around there, and I remember listening to it, knowing it had something to do with sex, but totally missing any connection between it (and especially Poison, such a popular band at the time!) and a love for teh fat chicks. I heard it with new ears probably about a year or so ago. Anyway, thanks for pointing this out. :-)
