Pat Condell Wants To Start A Book Club!

I'm following the RichardDawkins.net blog feed and so I wouldn't be writing about this if they hadn't posted it. In fact, the reason I didn't react when Pat Condell noted the party he was going to vote for in the last election was because websites like RichardDawkins.net presumably either thought no one would be interested, or were actively worried ( Read more... )

I used to admire Pat Condell, but lately his apparent obsession with the idea of a Muslim invasion has put me off him.

The funny thing is that apologists for Pat Condell's hideous racism are having harder and harder time. It's now been posted on Atheist Media Blog too and they've noticed some pretty big clues that the book is dodgy without even going to the same lengths to investigate. I was so busy checking out the background of the author and its ties to a political witch hunt that I completely failed to notice something as simple as the blurb of the book:
"You've heard about the courageous young investigators who covertly videotaped officials of ACORN advocating illegal activities. Now, get ready for an undercover exposé even more daring..."

Further into the comments an atheist right-winger finds themselves forced to admit that Pat Condell is completely round the bend:

I just don't understand all the authoritarianism I see from so many visible atheists.As far as I can tell, Pat Condell is actually technically opposed to authoritarianism. The problem is that he seems to think that the worst risk of limiting his freedom comes from a religious minority group and the European Union. As such, he demands that the government use their authority to protect him from (supposedly) even more authoritarian groups taking greater control ( ... )
