Busy as a B

I have been watching a lot of movies. I'm going to try to keep up with my promise of reviewing most if not all of the movies I watch this year.

Here are two of them at the movie_katte community that I contribute to. Volver and Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd.

I also watched Pan's Labyrinth, another brilliant film from the Spanish stable. Will try and review it as soon as possible.

Pan's Labyrinth is excellent. Certain scenes of violence were hard to watch, but I survived. Looking forward to your review.

And.. Happy Birthday!

I watched it over this weekend as well. I will try and post my review of it soon.

Your review is quite generous, I might not look on the movie so favourably. ;D

It's OK. While I did like it, I can see why others would not. In fact I intended my review to be more an opinion than a recommendation.

Peace!

Totally agree. I was laughing so hard throughout the movie. Have you seen interviews of the director Reema Katgi? She's this gorgeous woman with a scratchy cigarette-induced voice, and she's very articulate.

i loved "talk to her" and didn't realize that the same director did "volver" - i'll definitely have to bump it up on my to watch list then.

Talk To Her is a lot more relaxed in its pace; Volver is a little more frenetic in pace (atleast for Almodovar!). Another good Spanish movie that I caught (also because of the Oscar nominations) recently is Pan's Labyrinth by Guillermo del Toro. Very beautiful, highly recommended.
