So all these policy changes at LJ had absolutely nothing to do with the recent purchase by a Russian company. Absolutely nothing. I repeat, absolutely nothing.
I'm so uninformed! Guess I should read the lj news! Russian?!? How...ummm...utterly...American! Nothing like keeping business at home... and having everyone feel "safe" under American rights/standards.
Of course, maybe that's the new frontier of democracy. Right?
Maybe. I'm not sure what the whole Russian thing is about, but it seems like we kicked the shit out of the U.S.S.R. as a world power, and now their coming back to get us where we live, in business and in criminal activities. For instance, the sports gambling that's everywhere now is rife in Russian organized crime. And I can't believe they won't love getting their hands on one of our blogging platforms.
Right. It's good to take that "progress" with a grain of salt. For the life of me... I can't think why they couldn't start their own blogging site and why lj even sold it without SOME input from this community. They know how to get input for every other issue. Anyway, I haven't been on in quite a while...many personal situations occupying my time, so I want to thank you for your reply to mine and wish you a great 2008!

I'm very concerned about this takeover -- and the current changes... (sigh)
