The Television Diary Project

Hello Flist!  I am about to try and recruit you, be forewarned :)

For my Masters dissertation I am looking at how people watch television.  As I know a lot of you are avid viewers (like myself) it seemed logical to ask you all if you'd be willing to participate!

Participants will have to keep a three day diary on how much television they watch a day ( Read more... )

I'm interested in participating, but after looking around the comm I see that you want primarily UK residents. You might put that in your LJ post?

The main reason i said uk only is because i'm not sure how on demand tv works in the us. here we have certain satellite providers who you pay for who provide the series record functions and things like that. Also our public service channels have online services for catch up as well.

I will put that on my post though you're right, but the main reason i wasnt sure was because i didnt know if the table i put together for the research would be applicable for non-uk viewers. If you have a look its here http://tvdiaryproject.livejournal.com/1344.html#cutid1. If it's usable for you i'd love if you could participate!

Either way though, thank you for your interest :)

The concepts are very similar, it's just that our programs and devices are called different things. That was how I originally realised you weren't asking for a US-based participant.
