I agree. I really liked the very beginning of the story and the thought of a natural progressing romance appealed to me, but the alley cat thing just drags on and on. I hope it makes a turn somewhere towards some development and like you said, towards some goal. Now it seems stagnated to me and I like animals, but the cat thing is just too overwhelming and over the top .

The cat love was a bit too extreme. World peace or helping out those in need I can understand. If they're going to work themselves for stray cats, why not dogs too? I'm pretty sure there's lots of stray dogs as well. Do something useful, like volunteer for PETA, a vet, an animal shelter, and etc.
