The only stores that have Xmas stuff already should be Craft stores; and only because you need time to MAKE THE THINGS YOURSELF.

Yep, I went by Walmart looking for a patio chair, and their whole garden section is full of Christmas trees.

Not to mention Thanksgiving! I'm old enough to remember when the Christmas displays didn't come out until the Friday after Thanksgiving, and I like it that way!

Agreed.  Halloween is its own holiday and should be granted its space in the cultural mythos and its calendar.
